Vanco International Announces Updates to Popular EVO-IP HDMI over IP System for Commercial AV Market
First launched last year, the new updates include new integrations and features designed to enhance compatibility with commercial AV system design.
InfoComm 2018 – Las Vegas, NV – June 6 – 8, 2018 – Vanco International LLC, an industry leader in AV distribution and electronic accessory products, today announces new updates and enhanced features for the EVO-IP HDMI over IP system for distributors at InfoComm 2018 in Las Vegas.
Debuted last year at CEDIA 2017, the award-winning EVO-IP offers installers the ability to manage, transmit, and receive audio/video signals and control hundreds of devices over a local network. And, it efficiently uses only three products to do so – a transmitter, receiver, and control box – making the EVO-IP a highly scalable option for AV device management in installations of any size.
Part of the Vanco Evolution™ line of curated pro audio and video distribution products, EVO-IP transmits virtually lossless 4K@60Hz, 4:4:4, HDR, HDCP 2.2 video, audio, and IR/RS232 control as a point-to-point, splitter, switch, matrix and/or video wall solution. The new EVO-IP updates offer new enhancements designed specifically with commercial AV installers in mind, including an added drag-and-drop option for uploading photos for the on-screen display (OSD). This option makes the EVO-IP a perfect fit for installers of digital signage who want to simplify their setup and management process on the job.
Other new features include an added source preview which allows the installer or user to see what is playing on a source before switching, and new scaling options that allow for upscaling media to 4K or down to 720p. This feature allows installers to scale up or down as an installation requires. There were also refinements made to the integration with cloud-based voice-control compatibility with Amazon Alexa, as well as to the iOS and Android mobile apps for more streamlined end-user control.
“We received positive feedback at CEDIA last year upon launching the EVO-IP and have worked directly with our distributors and dealers to identify places where we could make even more improvements to the system design and capabilities,” said Mark Corbin, president of Vanco. “We feel that these updates help both the distributor with being able to offer additional incentives to move stock and generate sales, and the dealer with a more extensive and simplified installation experience. We’re excited to show off the new EVO-IP to the commercial market at InfoComm.”
These updates to the EVO-IP will be available in new versions shipping in July and will also be on display at InfoComm in Vanco International’s Booth N3022. Interested distributors can contact Vanco International directly for pricing.
